Craziness of Christianity 5

 PART FIVE 

Welcome back to this series of “Crazy Christianity”, so far we have seen the history of Christianity and how it has been modified by its hierarchy, which even in large strokes, is very complicated and convoluted. This Story is full of inherent manipulations, and human corruption always moving away from Jesus's original intentions. While they never focus on the essence of Jesus’s doctrine, as we saw in the Apostles Creed, they continue rolling out commandments as they see it convenient for them and the organization as a whole. We could easily expect this from a “hair tonic” salesman, and it is also very typical of any human corporation, it should not be expected of ANY institution truly guided by ANY DIVINE BEING.

Christian Leaders who claim adherence to the Bible, as the “word of God”, because of “faith” and “tradition”, can usually be seen only adhering literally to certain convenient passages, while ignoring others.  Their argument for keeping and using the bible is that it is supposed to be the “inspired word of God”, yet when it is convenient for them it becomes the “literal word of God”. They then become the only ones who can determine, what is literal, and what is not, while claiming to be led by some divine transcendent divinity.  These Pseudo-Christian leaders, can't explain, nor decipher important things to their “hypothesis”, and conclusions of “divine law”. One of the most important things lately, for example, is how they can't explain yet deny, how the brain affects gender, nor seemingly understand the difference between gender and biological sex, any more than they could explain why some people were left-handed and some were not. Yet this lack of understanding, did not stop them from condemning it as an aberration, not too long ago. I mean these so-called Christians can't even prove the existence of a soul before the brain is fully developed, nor when or if it ever leaves or if it ever was there, after said brain stops functioning. Yet they claim the existence of a God that “talks only through them”. Which by the way, It was the same position that the Jewish priests had for their people before Jesus came, and Jesus condemned that when he said In the gospel of John in 4:23-24“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. [24] God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” I believe this is one of the strongest remarks against Priests or any other authority claiming they have the “only connection to God”.  Jewish priests claimed, " that God only spoke to the priests in their altars”.  A position which I repeat, Jesus condemned very often. I ask then are we Jewish, with a tint of Christ? Or Christians with a tint of Jewish? Crazy no?
Yes, I agree the History of Christianity in contrast to Jesus's original positions, creates a very problematic situation, so why are we as Educated Citizens in this world, so quick to turn our dependency on morals over to an ideology, manipulated by men,  that has such a malleable past, and such a bad history of performance? And whose evidence of “Divine Authority” is so logically questionable.  We must always remember that the Catholic and Christian Churches have been influential in world development, from the Crusades to the genocide of Indians in America, the stealing of their land, the enslavement of Indians in all of Latin America, and slavery of our Black brothers and sisters, brought in from Africa, all this was done with the blessings of many Christian flavors. Historically, Christian churches have sided with the powerful, both economically and politically, and both of these elements were strongly rejected by Jesus, according to any and all gospels.

 
Why would we base any of our laws on the bible, when we know most of these rules cant be applied as a society, and when they do, they are never consistent? Such as Leviticus 11:12 where it says " Everything in the waters that does not have fins and scales is detestable to you”, yet today “Red Lobster” is a very successful food chain. I don't see ANY Christian church rallying against them, do you ?  Who decided that was not important to God? Again I repeat, Why do we allow religious leaders, to use and try to use statements like “ respect for all life” when we know the intention is to please a political party not to safeguard any life.  Rather it is USED to  “control some women”? How do I know this ? Because those same politicians and priests, are the ones who regularly  send your children to war with a blessing, and accept the death sentence of many prisoners, so it is not “respect for all life’ just those I want, and under the conditions I provide.  The essence of this philosophical conflict stems from the fact that neither they nor we have any scientific evidence that the soul begins at conception, but they want to claim that fetuses are children, which is truly like claiming that eggs are Chickens, which is delusional at best. Having said that, the root of this unfounded belief comes originally from the Catholic church and Pope John the Second, who, in union with its Bishops during the second Vatican Council pronounced that the fetus was a “potential human being”. The church has not been able to prove when human life begins.  Today politically minded, clerics, Priests, and pastors have tried to radicalize this idea and claim that the whole human being as a person, exists at conception, to push anti-abortion laws, which is another change in essence to Christian doctrine. It wasn't so long ago that killing “rebellious children”; "witches" "heretics" or “indigenous children” was approved “to save their soul”. This was pretty much sealed by the church not so long ago. The Clerics who have radicalized this “anti-abortion” movement, have just tried to energize Christians to follow them and forget about the continuous scandals about pedophilia, and rape, abandoned sons and daughters of priests, existing within the Christian churches. These “pro-life” statements are of the same nature and purpose as those who claimed that “the earth is the center of the universe” back in the time of Galileo; boy was that embarrassing !!! But these people don't seem to learn, their search for power and influence can't stop them from pronouncing “divine truths” from their politically favorable interpretations which have historically been proven to be flawed.

We have lived through so many times in history where the Christian churches have made pacts with politicians and twisted the gospels to mean whatever is convenient at the time, that regular  Christians have learned “just follow the leader’ often under penalty of death. Christians are unable to question those “divine statements”; because Christians are literally "groomed" taught only what is convenient to that particular Christian “flavor” they belong to.

Lately of the gravest sins, the Christian churches have committed, was their support of Hitler to power, and the promotion of Mussolini as well, by the Catholics of Northern Italy, at the time, this accord was as long as the nazis left the Catholics alone. I imagine a Jesus promoting Pontius Pilate as the “New King” as long as you leave the apostles alone. Can anyone imagine that kind of Christ?
Like so many times you deal with the devil, it turned out to be a lie, Hitler also persecuted catholics, and that is why the church turned on Hitler at the end.

Let us finish here for today, and wonder and search, how can Christianity go from Jesus to Hitler?  History proves all it takes is a lot of crazy disingenuous leaders and above all blind followers. I think this is a good moment to stop and think for today.
