Trump Lies, Pavlov's Response and Grooming
People quite often believe and or are drawn into marketing lies. Most of us, believe that once the lie is proven wrong, the lie will go away. However, I think we need to look at another version of “Pavlov's response”; Pavlov was a scientist that trained some dogs to salivate at the sound of a bell; by associating, feeding time with the sound of a bell. Having explained that, we need to consider how humans react to marketing lies, when associated with emotional and ideological, reinforcements which are included in this emotional marketing interaction.
When people are fed lies, while providing a sense of hope and belonging, at the same time it creates a sense of wellbeing, and people are rewarded with this sense of hope which releases endorphins and other chemicals in our brains. Now when you provide this experience at random, In this case, “the feeling of hope” is the reward, then people become more dependent on this experience than if they were gambling addicts. In the case of marketing, once people are hooked on an idea, people will believe in whatever was stated during this emotional interaction, until their dying day, and in resistance to ANY logical and evidence-based truth.
This is how drug addicts are made. Addiction is so bad that an addict can mentally understand that he is doing something that might kill him, but he will continue and often find reasons why he should not change his/her behavior because somehow he “NEEDS’ that feeling created by that drug. The dependency on emotions is not so different.
Why does Trump lie so much? Most of his lies are based on beliefs with no basis; mostly “urban legends” if you will. He lies so much to stroke anybody's ego at first, once he starts down a path; where he catches the approval of a significant number of people, he knows he is on the right track. Once he strokes or hits a chord in a person, that person is likelier to turn off any semblance of critical thought and agree with everything else. He said one thing I believe in, so he must be right. Also, it is harder to argue against a “circus de solei of lies”; than against one lie at a time, instead of glorifying his “winning strategy” people need to understand that he KNOWS HE IS LYING, he knows he staging a “circus de solei” with so much entertainment to draw in people to vote for him. He is not interested in helping his followers get a better life, he is interested in sitting in the king's chair one more time. He has plainly stated “I JUST WANT YOUR VOTE”; I will say whatever crazy lies are necessary to convince you to vote for me. Trump is different from any other politician because he deals in lies that divide and spread hate, towards the opposition, which is entertaining, because it creates a semblance of “gladiators’ like a circus is entertaining.
Whether we are white brown, yellow or immigrants if we are in USA, we are all working to make our country better. Leaning on hatred and division to get people to vote for you, is commonly seen in third world countries, it should not be so in OUR COUNTRY !!
The reason why people might defend Trumps arguments
We as I have stated before are easily lured into believing lies, by marketing. Trump uses marketing strategies to state ‘half truths; with half lies, and blending them with whole blatant lies. Some of these lies seem to be plausible without examining teh root. In this case3 people think; “more likely than not this sounds like truth”, but then Trump does a “spliting of teams” it is us against them” now people are locked in to “loyalty”; and “logic and reason” take back seat, just like in prison or the military, anyone with a different perspective becomes an enemy. Those in that team who like to think are now trapped, because the person feels like the root of their belief might be eventually discovered and proven wrong and they don't like that, plus it will expose them as “ the weakest link”. People like to be right, being wrong, exposes that there is a weakness or error in your thinking. The need to be right is evident in people who like to buy and sell stocks. Sometimes people with little knowledge of the stock market, will stay until their stock tanks, because they didn't want to acknowledge they made a bad choice. Sometimes the need to defend a fallacy is so deep. It becomes then sort of an onion, where they defend all layers of lies because at the center of it all is that person's initial fallacy, and they have not figured out a way to defend it other than to hide it, under a false hope of “you will see, this will turn around”, only it never does, and when it does, people don't recuperate their original investment. Their only fault is, not knowing enough about how millionaires work and affect the system. Call it a coincidence but a lot of people following trump have not participate in politics very often, and have very poor knowledge of how government has historically worked. Trump claims “I love the poorly educated”, tehya re easily convinced of fallacies, and then through “loyalty” they will not correct their course until they loose their money.
Why does a person defend a fallacy with no evidence? Because at some point it gave that person an emotional reward. He/she was surrounded by people who agreed with him, otherwise, the lie was expressed by a “popular figure”, making him/her believe they were “part of an elect group”. All of these are emotional and social rewards, which have been used for many fraudulent objectives. They have been used to sell hair tonic, used cars, vacuum cleaners, Time shares, and Religious beliefs , as well as political beliefs.
Why would someone want to sell a “belief” or an “ideology”? Because it creates a gravitational pull around them as the depositors of the “facts’ or the “real truth” and people turn to them for answers and direction, which gives the person or group; power and influence over that person or group of people.
The ultimate reward in marketing is “I'm the bringer of God's ultimate truth” Once people align themselves with this person or group, as a source for their ideas, it is like an electric shock with high voltage, the person will stay tied to the source until they are emotionally drained, or through some other external intervention, disconnects them from the source.
Now I'm going to introduce the biggest root of the problem, and how it predisposes our society to fall for all
“Marketing techniques” that lead us in irrational and illogical; but very emotional directions.
Organized Religion, I know, hu? most people must be making the sign of the cross upon hearing these words. Otherwise, they might be calling on Thor, or Vishnu, Jesus or Allah, the fact is that mentioning any organized religion and the word FRAUD, in the same sentence sends those particular followers into a rage of self-righteous fear, panic, and anger.
Now we might ask ourselves, if “salvation” is individual and depends on how YOU respond to the call of your God, why are you angry? If your god is all-powerful; why do you feel the need to defend him/her? Because in their heart of hearts, they have NEVER SPOKEN To said God, and quiet honestly, they have their doubts. However a weekly dose of uniting with a group that reinforces their beliefs is sufficient to maintain them in line, but it creates an internal conflict, which must be the reason for their anger.
Let me explain, If I'm sure of the law of gravity, why would it anger me if you want to jump? One thing is to try to dissuade you from jumping, and another is trying to punish you because you want to jump. If you want to jump; Ill be happy enough if you don't take me with you, right? Getting angry at jumpers, because they “think they can fly” It sounds irrational no? Also one person jumping will be enough proof for others not to jump; because there is EVIDENCE, of the results of jumping, this is something that organized religion provides NONE, this lack of evidence allows, I suspect an internal subliminal conflict, which must be why religious zealots are always so angry at the rest of us. If a person does not believe in your “morals” , based on your “Holy Books” it should not offend you, especially because God will take care of it, right? Maybe you don't believe in God, and that is why you feel like you need to tip the balance.
This whole conjecture is an exercise in lying to oneself. These are people who claim to believe in God, but “just in case” they decide to act as if their God can do nothing. This is rather ridiculous, either God is all-powerful or he is not, and we either fall or fly.
Why then are some people so adamant in turning the rest of society into addicts of their “subjective perception of the spirit world”? Well, we have one final element I need to comment on about the world of lies we live in and allow to continue is “grooming”. We as a society have a tendency to baptize; initiate or otherwise begin a religious education early in a child's life. This is called “grooming”. We start instilling certain belief systems in children before they have the mental capacity or courage to contradict whatever is placed in front of them as a “fact”.
Let's take a real serious look at this, Right now as an adult; prove to me or to anyone that you have a soul, beyond any doubt. You can't, everything that you “feel” and have interpreted as a “soul” during your life, has been proven to be no more than a chemical reaction in your brain. Now be careful, I have not said that I can prove that, “there is absolutely no soul”; I have stated, “YOU have no evidence of a soul”. Yet most of the arguments brought on to our society about the existence of a soul, depend on this premise being true.
Yet you can't prove it, why not? because you “groomed” into believing that you have a soul; with no evidence, whatsoever.
Search back in your mind, and try to remember, did ANYONE ever give you evidence of the existence of a soul; other than “because I say so”; or “it is self-evident”; etc.
What proof were you given? I know and have examined my own experience even while studying Philosophy and theology, there was never any real evidence of a soul, at best a “possibility” ; a cheap “more likely than not” because if we have no soul; immortality is doomed; justice after death is destroyed, and we are left with the reality that we as a society have destroyed the futures of others, without any possibility of justice, then what are we? Mere animals, no different than the wolf and the jackal? This possibility scares a lot of people, why?
Because millions and billions of us were “groomed” into believing in some kind of immortality, so we won't get too anxious about the wealthy and the powerful taking all joy away from us in this life, because “in the next life” God will set everything right.
Imagine what kind of society we will become once we realize that we only live once, and if we don't get justice and happiness here, we will never get it.
Will we run off and jump off a cliff? Will we react like teh French and start getting rid of those who abuse the working man? What will we do, when we realize that, this is it, contrary to all the “grooming” we have been subjected to ? There might be no immortality as we have hoped.
Our turning into Stardust, as long as we have no soul; will eliminate the possibility of “immortal rewards”, what will we do, when we realize, that “brother wolf” was not just a manner of speech, but a real statement, from St Francis
In conclusion, we need to re-evaluate our live, our religion, and our grooming. We have been set on a path of servitude and blind obedience based on the promise of some sort of “spiritual immortality”, it is about time that we as a society re-calibrate our value system, to inoculate ourselves against events like Trump, Castro, Xi-Jin Ping, and others throughout history. I don't qualify these as “people” but rather, as persons who exposed and used a flaw in our society and our way of thinking.
We need to do better we must if we are to survive and evolve positively as a species.
