Craziness of Christianity 2

Hello and welcome back; to my channel, this is the second part of (Crazy Christianity) as I explained on the video before this one. The council of Nicea, the first catholic council was REQUESTED by the Roman Emperor Constantine to have the essential beliefs of Christianity written down and clarified for him. At that time Christians themselves had different perceptions of what Christianity was. This was also the time when the First Catholic church decided, not only what the essential beliefs were, but also which writings were going to be admitted to back up their beliefs, and which ones had to be eliminated. The bigest result of this council was THE APOSTOLES CREEED.

Now, you might ask what does this have to do with the original statement, about Christianity? Well if we read History carefully; very little of this “apostles creed, was based on Jesus' central theme. Why did this happen? How did it happen?  Well, it was the EMPEROR who requested something in writing It was not an initiative from the Church. Now, the hierarchy of the church at the time knew that the survival of the Christian Church depended on Constantine and his support. While they were determining what the “essence” of Christianity would be written down as, do you think they would have included anything that truly offended Constantine? Do you not think there were redactions upon redactions of anything that vaguely offended their “New Savior Emperor Constantine ?”.
Emperor Constantine invited priests and Bishops from all the known civilized world to what would later be called the FIRST COUNCIL OF NICAEA.  One of the results of the NICAEA council was the “APOSTOLES CREED”; which curiously mentions many beliefs about; Jesus; the quality of his birth, his Divinity, God, the Father, and how he is eternal, the holy  Spirit, and the life of the world to come and the forgiveness of sins. My one problem with this “CREED” comes up, when I see so many places in the GOSPELS where Jesus speaks about the poor, about giving up all material possessions, about how the poor and the meek will be preferred in the kingdom of heaven, and also how close to impossible it will be for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven, ( it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle), yet NONE OF THESE IMPORTANT AND CENTRAL THEMES TO JESUS’S TEACHINGS ARE INCLUDED in the “APOSTOLES CREED”.  If you consider that in this Concilium, Jesus, for the first time is said to be DIVINE, then why are his words about the “poor” essentially ignored, furthermore to prove this point, we can read in “The Acts of the Apostles, chapter 5” that it was not just important but NECESSARY; to sell your possessions, give your money to the church ( who would divide it among all the faithful), and then join the church. This is a fact and a strong practice at the time, yet now long forgotten by most Christian churches. Poverty is a very important element of Jesu’s teachings and yet, was not included in the “APOSTOLES CREED” either.
Why would this important element not be included in the “APOSTOLES CREED”?
The only plausible explanation is, that it was not politically convenient to the survival of the Catholic Church at the time. The men in Power decided (contrary to Jesus's doctrine), that it was more convenient to please Constantine than to Include something as offensive as, “We believe in giving up all material possessions, to access life everlasting”, no !! That could not be included, because at the time, that idea, in Rome, though central to Jesus' teachings, would have been an act of suicide for the early church, but isn't that the example that Jesus left? To sacrifice yourself for God's Truth? These men were more worried about SURVIVAL than being faithful to Jesus’s principles. Ironically, the first men in charge of GOD’S PLAN and Tradition, Believed that, without them, God could not carry out his plan. Despite Jesus’s specifically pointing out in  Mathew 3:9:  “ And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones, God can raise up children for Abraham.”. Based on this statement God does not NEED MEN, nor SPECIFIC MEN, God would find and inspire others, no? It seems the first Hierarchy of the church was not so trusting of the “Holy Spirit” without them at the Helm.  Why? Maybe they were aware of some “irregularities” in the scriptures possibly introduced by them. However, we will deal with that at another time.
Has anything changed? No, not really, Christians of all flavors, believe that God can't do his work without them, which is a contradiction to their own belief that “God can do all”.  Yet somehow God needs the different Christian churches, their members, and their political participation to survive. Which makes me suspicious of their “faith and tradition”.

Here is where organized religion specifically Christianity starts creating a double reality; we believe in eternal life, and we want to go to heaven but not now!! These Christians no longer seemed as convinced, as the original ones dying in Rome's circus, about eternal glory and bliss, not when it came to presenting the Gospel literally and risking their lives. Isn't this just crazy? Not just the attitude, but the whole process of where and how “faith and tradition “ got started.
